The curriculum of combat hapkido under the International Combat Hapkido Federation includes specific techniques that must be mastered for the student to progress to the next level of training. Belt requirements include a variety of specific strikes, blocks, joint-locks, throws, take-downs as well as appropriate responses to certain types of attacks including a wide array of grabs, holds and strikes. The following are video clips of a few of those techniques and cover skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Some techniques are demonstrated by students and some by instructors. Basic techniques are determines for each belt level. These techniques must be mastered by the student before they can progress to the next set of techniques
Requirements for higher belts include additional testing as determined by the instructor and can include weapons disarming techniques, and defenses against lone or multiple attackers developed by the students through regular class training.
